What happens on the call

01

You pick a time below.

Choose any 30-minute slot. You’ll get a calendar invite with the call details.

02

We talk.

You share what’s bringing you in. I ask a few questions. We notice whether the fit feels right on both sides. I’ll often suggest what the work might look like — or, if I’m not the right fit, refer you to someone who might be.

03

You decide.

If we’re a fit, I’ll send the intake paperwork and we’ll schedule your first full session. If we’re not, I’ll share the referral and that’s the end.

There’s no pressure to decide on the call.

    Fees & insurance

    Session fees

Sessions are $150–$250 per 50-minute session, sliding scale. You choose the amount within that range that you can sustain — no questions asked, no income documentation.

Couples sessions are 80 minutes — $200–$350 per session, sliding scale.

Payment is due at the time of each session. I accept Zelle, Venmo, personal check, and credit/debit cards.

    Insurance

I am an out-of-network provider. I do not bill insurance directly.

Many clients with PPO plans are reimbursed 50–80% by their insurance through out-of-network mental health benefits. I provide a monthly superbill — an itemized receipt with CPT codes and diagnosis — that you submit for reimbursement.

To find out what your plan covers, call your insurance company’s member services and ask:

    • “What are my out-of-network mental health benefits?”
    • “What’s my out-of-network deductible, and how much have I met?”
    • “What percentage do you reimburse after the deductible is met?”
    • “Is there a session-limit cap per year?”

    Cancellation

48-hour cancellation policy. Sessions cancelled with less than 48 hours’ notice are charged at the full fee.

    Good Faith Estimate

Under the federal No Surprises Act (effective January 2022), you have the right to a Good Faith Estimate of expected charges before beginning services if you’re uninsured or not using insurance.

I provide a written Good Faith Estimate at intake. You can also request one at any time. If your final bill exceeds your Good Faith Estimate by $400 or more, you can dispute the charge through federal arbitration. More: cms.gov/nosurprises.

    Frequently asked before booking

I’m not sure I’m ready to commit to weekly therapy. Should I still book?

Yes. The consultation is exactly for that question. You don’t need to be ready for weekly therapy — just curious enough to talk for 30 minutes.

I’m not in Colorado. Can I still book?

Online sessions require Colorado licensure on my end, meaning you need to be physically in Colorado when we work together. The consultation itself can happen from anywhere, but ongoing therapy requires CO residency.

    Are sessions online or in-person?

Most of my practice is online via Zoom. In-person sessions are available by arrangement only — if that’s important to you, mention it on the consultation. The location is shared privately after booking, not published on the site.

    Do you take my insurance?

I’m an out-of-network provider and don’t bill insurance directly, but many PPO plans reimburse 50–80% of an out-of-network session. I provide a monthly superbill you submit yourself. The questions to ask your plan are listed above — worth a five-minute call before you book.

How long is a session, and how often would we meet?

Individual sessions are 50 minutes; couples sessions are 80, because two nervous systems need more room. Weekly to start, and we adjust as the work deepens. None of that is decided on the consultation — we’ll talk about what rhythm is realistic for you.

What if I need to cancel or reschedule?

Give me at least 48 hours and there’s no charge. Inside 48 hours the session is charged at the full fee — the hour is held for you and can’t be filled that late. The free consultation itself you can cancel any time.

Do I have to move, or dance?

No. You don’t need to be a dancer, you don’t need to be flexible, and plenty of sessions are mostly talking — with pauses to notice what your body is doing while you talk. Movement is one language available in the room, not a requirement, and nothing happens that you haven’t agreed to.

I have a complicated history. Should I prepare anything?

No prep needed — bring what’s on your mind. Anything clinical I’ll need, like medications or current providers, comes in the intake paperwork after the consultation, not before. You don’t have to arrive with your story organised.

Can I bring my partner, or a support person?

If you’re thinking about couples work, come to the consultation together if you can — it’s the same 30-minute call and I’d rather meet both of you. For individual work the call is just for you, though you’re welcome to bring a question someone else wanted asked.

    Can we work in Russian?

Yes. Sessions are available in English and Russian — whichever language the harder things are easier to say in. You can also switch between them mid-session; many clients do.

In immediate crisis? Please don’t book a consultation.

    • 988 — call or text Suicide & Crisis Lifeline (US, 24/7; includes Colorado as of July 2025 consolidation)
    • 911 — for medical emergencies

I’m not equipped for crisis stabilization in my practice.
